What's even more frightening is that his example has about one third of the country doing the same stupid shit
I answered you. No a candidate has never died during the campaign. They are replaced by their party who chooses a new candidate to give trumps delegates to and be the candidate. Because Trump is president, Pence will take over office, but might not be the candidate
going by this: the case fatality rate (CFR) is above 2.83%. That's after 109 million tests Oregon is at 1.65% ******************************************** the theoretical mortality rate would be lower, but how much lower we just don't know because the pandemic has overwhelmed health agencies worldwide. It would depend on just how many people are asymptomatic and never get tested. I saw predictions that the mortality rate would probably fall in 0.7-1.1% range. A few prediction were lower but I remember a couple of those predictions saying we'd see that kind of result around when we hit 50 million tests. We're more than double that in testing right now and the CFR is 2.8%
White House's 24 hours of COVID cover up and superspreading revealed: Hope Hicks had symptoms on Wednesday night but Trump ignored them AND her positive test to go to fundraiser (and his aides STILL won't mask up)

About 2.5 million (subtract deaths + recovered from total cases). That seems off, given that there are about 45,000 people testing positive each day and the typical infection takes around 2-3 weeks to recover from. Say three weeks x 45,000 is 945,000 cases. I must be missing something. Obviously, people who get severe cases take much longer, but that's a relatively small percentage.
