Play of the game for me was Butler hip checking Caruso at the end of the half, after Caruso had flopped on him the previous play. I don't even dislike Caruso, but I hate floppers. JVG is spot on, give 'em no mercy.

28/12/8 for "OLD LEBRON" in 39 minutes
Not a bad night of work.
Heat did put up a battle, sucks they are dealing with injuries though.

The really scary thing about the Lakers is that they will only be better next season. They'll bring back everyone unless they can pull off some favorable trade for Danny Green, which would be so Lakerish of them to be able to do. That means they'll have Avery Bradley next season and a most likely a much improved Kuzma. Then they will get huge value out of the MLE because people will sign with them for less to get a ring or two. Oh and LeBron isn't getting worse and another scary thing related to that is that when his athleticism starts to go, which it hasn't, should he stay healthy how good could he be operating strictly out of the low post? He has great old man scoring moves, passes extremely well down low and has great understanding of leverage and timing defensively. LeBron could play effectively well past 40 and AD, Kuzma and whoever they add every off season will just keep making them better and better. Not good for us.

I don't see Kuzma improving. I said his rookie year that I thought he had peaked, and he hasn't done anything yet to dissuade me from that opinion.

Unfortunately, if all he does is improve hitting open corner threes, that enough...

The Lakers can be beat. They're a mediocre shooting team. They are no dynasty.

I wish we were this “mediocre”.

With those percentages, you gotta wonder why AD isn't getting more shots, more touches. Miami can't handle him.

    Most Valuable Prima donna?

Gotta go with LeBron on that one.

At full strength we would beat them.

Yikes... and that is why we're doomed to see Olshey sit on his hands this off season because he probably agrees with you.

Hopefully he does agree with me. Because it’s true.

So you think this team as constituted if everyone was brought back and healthy would do better than only losing one game each round on the way to the finals and then win it all (which I think will happen and will happen again with just one loss but that is just conjecture)? Do you also think this team when healthy has an answer for LeBron, AD and the way the Lakers guards attack Dame... given that the Lakers would be healthy too having Rondo and Bradley to throw at Dame as well?

The way Kuzma is shooting right now, and his activity on both ends, is he really much less than a prime Rashard Lewis? That's a pretty darn valuable weapon.

I feel at this point that the Heat and the Lakers are like as if there were some Japanese and some American fighters stranded on some Pacific Island in 1946 still fighting, with nobody watching, and unaware that everyone has moved on.

I think the Blazers at full strength would beat the Lakers. That is what I’m saying. We have the size to deal with them and we’re a better shooting team.

I’ve got about 5 movies in my room that I pop in before bed. I’ve seen them all hundreds of times. I know what happens in all of them. It’s just background noise to put me to sleep.

The NBA is one of those movies at this point.

I’m betting one is Shawshank Redemption.
