Someone at NBA Analysis Net actually suggested the Heat could trade for Westbrick. Putting Westbrook and Butler together may not be the worst idea of this off-season, but it is sure on the short list!
OK, I only suggested a Westbrook trade because I was really bored, but then I remembered he doesn't really play defense and now I have read he wants out because he wants to be "the man" again; so I have no interest at all.
They wouldn't win much but I think Westbrook and Melo on the Knicks would be great for Melo and a fun way for him to playout his last season before retiring.
I FULLY ENDORSE THIS. I will regretfully say goodbye to Melo as a Blazer, out of purely altruistic motives.
I don't REALLY want Westbrook on the team (although I'd rather have him than Melo, if he feels like taking a buyout and signing for the minimum), but I would take reports that he has explicitly said "I want to be The Man again!" with a bit of a grain of salt. He might not actually BE that great of a team player, but that doesn't mean he doesn't try.
He's may be a better compliment than cj. More assists, rebounds, defense, gets to the rim. He's give us some needed toughness
With his recent comments about wanting to be the man again, it is very clear that "The Scarecrow" would be awesome, if he only had a brain.
