    Portland should have his full bird rights (if not - they have his early-bird rights), so there is no need to dip into the MLE.

    No need to use any of the MLE to resign him. Portland has Bird or early-bird rights.

    I believe we have his early bird rights, which means we can offer up to 175% of his previous contract, or 10 million per year, and we don't have to go into the MLE to do so. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
