    I'm not trying to be a downer but it would suck if we were in the middle of trying to sell Wood on coming here instead of somewhere else and in the meantime Millsap signed elsewhere and then we lost the Wood sweepstakes.

    You would think but he is young and still fairly unproven. Raising your salary by 8 million isn't too bad for anyone. If a GM could sell him on the team and him being able to have a role that could prove himself to being worth more than two times the MLE in three years, the guy might take it. I don't know a lot of places he can go that have a chance at winning and more than the MLE.
