10-man rotation: Dame CJ Hood RoCo Nurk Ant Trent Jones Collins Kanter No room for Melo. Who you got?
Echoing the need for a legit back-up PG. Also, don't see minutes for 'Melo. Gabriel is a nice 3rd string 4/5. ...and how did Little get left completely off the list?
If we were to sign a distributor for the second unit (eg, Augustin), I'd push Simons out of the rotation too. Melo can take a walk
I wish we could afford Bradley, he’d help on D, and could run the second unit adequately. He’s from the PNW so maybe?
Some people are going to be horribly surprised when Hood follows the usual post-achilles trend and A) needs two years to heal up, and B) never gets back to 100% of what he was.
Whose timeline is that? Wes was what he ended up being less than a year after the injury. Kobe was obviously different after but was back after a year. So who, in this age of platelet rich plasma therapy are you basing your timeline off of. You're right we shouldn't expect the same Hood back but he wasn't very reliant on explosive athleticism if he was reliant on it at all, so I don't know if the end result is much different.
It still probably makes sense to have either Dame or CJ on the court at all times given our current roster. Trent can play the SG in the minutes that both Dame & CJ are not in. Forward/Center situation will probably be situational given our opponents roster.
Not if he's not in the rotation. But, as has been pointed out, injuries happen. I wouldn't be unhappy with Wenyen or Trent in the rotation at all.
Of course not. I know they just spent a lot of money on Jones, but he has less length and size/build than Little and is a worse shooter. No one is doubting his hops, but Little can fly as well. And he is a good defender...but I'm not sure anyone in the league played Siakim as well as Little did last season on one of the few ocassions he got big minutes.
