Third observation: this is not exactly a vote of confidence for Nassir.

okay so whats your sales capture rate tpup?

me thinks you dont know how sales works. If you think the top salesman close 50% of thier quotes/ speels...

The best of salesmen close aprox 35-40 percent.

    Last month, 100%.
    This year, almost 90%
    Last year, just over 90%

Guess I just have a different perspective. Perhaps we should chat.

then you are an extremely rare breed....

sales is not like that in real world.

Of course it depends on the market. But to think salesmen should close 100% is not realistic.

Perfect move defensively. We're needed two-way players though. Apparently you don't value the offensive end of the ball for a guy like Jones.

People used those two to justify expecting guys like Evam Turner, Mario Hezonja, and Kent Bazemore to have shooting increases. We shouldn't just expect players to improve 8% IMO. He got great looks in Miami too.

Never said anything about that I think salesman should close 100%. You'll have to let me know where that came from.

Thinking only guys with length can defend is kind of like thinking only guys who can shoot 3s can play offense.

Now you are arguing against actual statistics. Sometimes players improve. Sometimes players are better in one aspect than another (for instance, they score but they do it because they move well without the ball instead of being lights-out shooters). Sometimes the to--the-eye perception doesn't match the facts.

I'm not arguing against statistics. I'm arguing against the incautious misuse of statistics.

Look, I happen to think that RPM shows us something, but if it shows that the best players in the country are LeBron James, Giannis Antetokoumnpo and Alex Caruso, then I'm inclined to think that it's flawed. Talking of which, Defensive RPM does not think much of Jones Jr.: apparently he's the 69th (nice) best small forward at whatever it is it measures.

"Defensively there is no slip-up either, despite the aforementioned height that Augustin regularly gives up to opponents.

"Since the All-Star break, the Magic have had the second-best defensive rating in the league (104.3). For the season as a whole, they are up to ninth in this category (107.8). Yet when Augustin is out there, that number shrinks to an even better 106.6. He is not getting the credit he deserves for his two-way play, or at least, his ability not to be a negative defensively for the team."

I wouldn't say it's that high. Frozen cant shoot or defend. He'd be a worse fit.

Man Avery Bradley would be a tremendous addition.
