If he did, we wouldn't've got him.

Has this been posted? Outside of shooting threes, Giles is better at every single other aspect. He's even more foul prone, astonishingly.

zachs biggest threat to playing time is Giles, not Kanter. But Zach has been in the system and the team is objectively better with him on the court, so he’s still got a leg up. But it’ll get interesting if Giles plays well while he’s out.

I think this may say more about Zach than Giles. Reminds me of Meyers...."sure, his 3rd season was disappointing but you'll love his 6th season!"

I mean, a 22 yr old big who plays good defense, is an elite passer, can hit FTs and has a 15 PER is a pretty damn good prospect. To get that at the minimum is not something to just gloss over.

This kid wants to be a dentist? I am reminded of our good friend Greg Oden that also wanted to be a dentist. Maybe these injuries come from the love of dentistry.

Those two should really battle in practice and its nice to have them competing for minutes and sharing the load.

...what better way to stir practice competition than to bring in the guy you originally drafted* but traded for the unproven oft injured 10th pick?!

    *also oft injured

    Call this Blazers Dome :dunno:

Proud moment this AM when I had to take a quick drive, and put my younger daughter's playlist at her urging (and my cringing). There was some Biz Markie, KRS-ONE, Kweli, Tom Petty, etc. in there. Wasn't expecting that.

When Bill Simmons asked Tatum who was the most talented player in his class when he was younger, Tatum immediately said Giles, didn't even think about it.

Too bad it's not a 2 years contract.

Other odd things I have thought of lately; only because Kantor couldn't make up his mind in 10 minutes as to whether to stay with the Blazers, we now have both Kantor and Hood! The terrible signing of ET finally got us Covington. as ET was traded for Baze and then Baze for Ariza and then we needed Ariza contract to trade for Roco.

Say what you want about him, but Leonard just got another $20 million from the Heat. Most project bigs never make it to a third contract that pays that well.

Oden could maybe be a horse dentist but there is now way those monster hands are fitting in a human mouth.

Good for Meyers but he pretty much only got that contract for trade purposes.

unlike Leonard, Jones got a player option. That wouldn’t work as well in a trade as Leonard’s structure.
