To be fair, a different CJ also started the 2nd half. I think it was less Giles "earning" that 2nd half start, and more Stotts trying out different groupings.
i thought about that. But then i thought kanter is our backup and so maybe he should have started the second half since it was more of the lineup he would be playing with. So im not so sure it wasnt a combo? i think Stotts might have quickly seen that giles might move up to backup and send kanter to the end of the bench for most games.
Huh I thought the OP was? Anyways I’m just making a joke because I always get accuse of being him. Apparently he was before my time..
There is this guy named Damian Lillard that just might be our best shot creator in every instance including iso. CJ gets buckets but if you need to give someone the ball at the end of the game and clear everyone else out to put that guy one on one with his defender who would that be? Not CJ... it would be Dame every time.
Most of the time, but I don't know about every time. Dame is much better at getting to the hole and is pretty much a better 3 pt clutch shooter than anyone on the planet. But let's say the opposition has a great rim protector and long perimeter defenders.......CJ is the better stop on a dime, pull-up, mid-range shooter. Again I usually want the ball in Dame's hands with the ball on the line, but I do remember a few times where I was yelling at the TV for CJ to get the last shot.
Uh, maybe because he is brought into almost every new members posts? This tuchi guy really has a grip on this forum, lol.
"Giles appeared in 104 games with the Kings over two seasons. He holds a career averages of 7.0 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. On Friday, he notched 18 points and 14 rebounds in 25 minutes of action."
...in a preseason game against the Kings who are terrible and his former team. He's a gifted player but I'm not getting too excited.
His only concern is his knees having an expiration date like Amare’s did - poof went his athleticism.
SMH From the day they were signed, we all knew there was a very real possibility that Jones and Giles were one year rentals. That's the way the NBA works. We also knew Giles might get hurt and be no help to us. What's the point in getting upset with someone for bringing it up?
What? I'm saying that he didn't dominate in Sac, they gave up on him, and trading the #20 pick obviously isn't an "Olshey disaster."
