That seems like a lateral move at best imo

CJ for LaVert is a very slight downgrade for us in what they bring to the table today considering CJ's insane offensive abilities but LaVert is the better fit, he can create his own offense and defend very well. The other thing to consider is the fact that Caris LaVert is 26 and CJ is 29.

Is it strictly his height that makes him a better fit? He can't shoot, so that makes him a worse fit, IMO. And his defense isn't really good at all, let alone defending very well. So you have another not stud defender who shoots worse than CJ. How does that make him a better fit?

The condescension here is surprising, especially since what I suggested (removing Nurk and Trent from your initial proposal, and sending Dinwiddie and Allen to Houston) works perfectly under the cap with Houston sending one more bit player to Brooklyn (like McLemore).

I would think that CJ and Allen (plus a pick or two) would be pretty decent value for Harden, but it's cool if you disagree.

Imo harden will get traded to a surprise team that the media isn’t reporting. My guess is Toronto

I can't see the Raptors giving up Siakam, and I can't see the Rockets being interested in Lowry.

siakam had a really bad time in the bubble.

But I don’t think the rockets would want him after getting wood. I should’ve thought it through a little more. Maybe a three team deal but yeah lol

He shot 36% from three last season (better than RoCo), he's way more athletic, he is a more willing passer and he is a really good defender, I don't know if you're just going off of stats when you say he's not but I've watched the guy a lot and he stays in front of his man, closes out really well, switches well, gets in passing lanes and creates transition points.

Sorry if it came off as snarky all that I saw was the post that said keep Trent here and send Dinwiddie there and in a separate earlier post that I didn't realize was also you another trade that didn't make sense keeping Nurk and sending Allen. They obviously work together, I should have put the two together, my bad.

The only suitable punishment for Harden's behavior in his trade demands is to trade him to the Nets like he wants. I can't imagine anything more entertaining than to watch KD, Kyrie, and Harden all wrestle each other for possession of the ball. Nothing like a watching a massive implosion, with the NYC press corps waiting to eviscerate these massive egos after it happens.

I just hope Denver doesn’t land him.

Offensively he and Joker would be unstoppable.

I think it'll be Philly or the Nets but a 3 team deal to clear space or add youth and picks to Houston...

Yeah, I think it might be the Nets in a three team but I don't know what the fuck Rafael Stone is thinking. He reportedly turned down Simmons... I mean seriously if you have the draft assets the Rockets recently acquired and a guy like Wood to pair with Simmons long term, why wouldn't you do what it took to make that trade work.

From what I read Stone wanted more than just Simmons and filler but reporters get these rumors wrong all of the time. If the Sixers wanted Harden and picks maybe I can see the Rockets balking at that but if I'm the Rockets I would throw in lets say our conditional first rounder they just acquired to bring on board everything Simmons would bring.

Wall, House, Simmons, Tucker, Wood, Gordon, Cousins, McLemore, Brown is a pretty solid rotation. Those are a lot of shooters to surround a guy that brings everything but shooting.

Agree. If Houston were to be able to make that swap, I'd be watching the Rockets a ton. They'd be a fun team.
I can't watch Harden... I HATE his game.
