It baffles me to be honest. It's not like Dame has zero basketball IQ. How can he not see it?

I'm pretty sure he saved Neil's life at some point.

Or he knows about an affair he's having.

Because Stotts don't Dame or CJ feet to the fire when there screwing out there because both of them does screw up probably more then people think but it's gets ingore because all the points they score. I don't mean you get in there face type of coaching but you got ring them in sometimes if there doing something that don't like. Because some shots Dame shoots are bad shots or sometime s his defense is not really good or CJ dancing with the ball trying to get a shot off that's actually drives me crazy when I see that.

Imagine Rondo on the Blazers lol
He would call out EVERY Stotts mistake possible. The players would listen to him, but Stotts would cry in the bathroom after each game.

This line went from Blazers -2 to Utah -2 in no time.
Lots of new faces on this team, give it a few games at least.

Problem with Stotts, Dame and Olshey is they don't like big changes. It's a real problem but I put it on Olshey first and foremost.

I'm glad Dame doesn't like big changes because if he did, he'd be in another uniform right now.

Bottom line of why I am disappointed in the Blazers to date, and frustrated with the future prospects.

Lots of interviews by the coach and players indicate they understand the problems that need to be fixed. And they promise quick results. But nothing changes.

They talk the talk, but do not walk the walk on the court.

Stotts had 19 starting lineups last season....I'd say he has no problem with changes...he also came up through the CBA which has a different roster every game....he's not a rigid coach at all...Nate McMillan was a rigid coach who wouldn't play his bench...see Jermaine O'Neal

You are so right, I love loyalty in players but loyalty in coaches equals favoritism and eventually stagnation of development, while loyalty in GMs is about as bad a thing as can happen with a GM. GMs need to do what's best for the team. It's one thing if a GM won't trade a player because of money reasons, like because Dame is the heart of this team's marketing, that is added to his on court value but that's not loyalty that's business and that is what a GM needs to be... all business. If Olshey could get a signed Giannis or AD for Dame as much as I wouldn't like it at first, it would be Olshey's job to pull the trigger on that trade. Olshey thinks CJ is "untouchable", that is insane. So it starts with Olshey where it's completely unacceptable, then it goes to Stotts where it's potentially problematic and then it ends with Dame where it's really good as long as Dame's loyalty isn't effecting Stotts' and most importantly Olshey's jobs being done well.

Literally exactly what I was going to post.

If stotts doesn't have to change, he won't.

Theres a reason we say "according to stotts notecard" and why we refer to it sooooo much.

Is the implication here that the teams that change more often are the most successful? Or is it that we change far less than other teams? If so, how is that comparison being determined?

That wasn't the point. Stotts is rigid and its a detriment to this team.

You know I love you like a senile old uncle that we keep locked in the basement........BUT........... I don't think Jermaine was on the Blazers during Coach Nate's tenure.
