They would require Nurk along with CJ imo. Couple Nurk with Wood & Tucker and you have a solid front court.
CJ & Gordon would be potent.
Houston gets way better not sure about Portland?

I'm telling you that I've read multiple reports that even though these guy are good/great that Houston is demanding first rounders with any talent they are getting in return for Harden unless that talent has already shown MVP ability like Harden. It's like their new GM doesn't even recognize that Harden has lowered his value by demanding a trade and then backing up that demand by being petulant.

I think you're right... I think they would also demand picks... and I would do it. I don't like Harden but Stotts and Dame can change attitudes around like no one else and many in here have made me aware that Olshey has a very long and good relationship with Harden which might make him open to change as well. Also we are in win now mode and Harden either gets us closer to those wins or gives us a huge trade piece that will net us one of the win now guys or packages that Houston is currently demanding picks with and we wouldn't.

Not sure who is offering more than Nurk/CJ (which as much as I want CJ gone, wouldn't include Nurkic).

CJ is one of the better creative scoring players in the league. His defense is another thing, but that applies to Harden as well. As for including Nurk, what other team could throw in a 'big' of that caliber? Not many, and certainly very few combined with CJ's scoring ability.

I'm no fan of Harden, but if you can do this and keep Dame/Nurk, you do it....plain and simple. I'd like to keep Zach and would hate to part with Trent, but would likely have to include one or the other. Any way Kanter and Melo can be included? (fingers crossed)

Houston would need to trade Eric Gordon or flip CJ somewhere else. I can't see having both.
I do see where Nurk and Christian Wood might work well together. (Maybe Collins and Wood would be a nice duo as well)
Seems like they could use a young SF as well.

If they trade CJ and Nurk for Harden then it's telling me that olshey saying that Zach is our future center. But I don't see olshey trading Nurk or Zach in any trade deal.

Philly already said that wouldn't put simmons in any trade deal so probably put philly out of the running.

I have to think Melo, and maybe RoCo, being here is part of the reason Harden added Portland to his list of acceptable destinations.

Remember Melo played for them and waive so I really don't think Melo be considered in that trade.

Anyone who thinks this franchise would get Harden without giving up Dame is delusional, and I don't want to do that...

I would bet that once harden gets traded it won’t be for anyone at that level, no matter where he ends up.

to expand, look at similar situations in the past; Star player actively looking to get traded, to the point where he’s willing to sabotage. Jimmy Butler is the last guy I can think of and he got traded for Covington, Saric, and a second. I realize Harden is better and has an extra season of control, but that’s still not even close to equal value.

Players that averaged at least 20 ppg, with 45% FG and 38% 3PT last season

    McCollum
    Lillard
    Kawhi
    LaVine
    Ingram
    Tatum
    Middleton
    Sexton
    Brown

That’s less than ten guys in the entire league, a league that values scoring more than anything else. We’re probably underrating CJs value. He’d be a good get for Houston and is the same age as Wall.

Harden supposedly loves the nightlife. Where’s he eager to pop bottles at in Portland?

I think it would make us contenders. But I don’t think a team with a ball dominating Harden will ever win a title.

    Could be fun though.

Do you think anyone thinks Colin Sexton would be a decent centerpiece in a Harden deal?

I don’t think they care which team he goes to. Once they trade him they are going to be rebuilding for a year or two
