The worst thing is when he has played he’s almost always been in foul trouble

yeah I feel bad for him always being hurt, but he will never be able to be relied on

Players can learn to foul less, but they can't learn toughness. Watching Meyers float around the 3 point line and then flex when he gets the occasional rebound grew tiresome. Collins was/is never afraid to get in the paint and battle. The injuries are out of his control. I hope he heals up and has a long career as a Blazer.

More likely out for the season it's to bad he could have help this season. He still young but let him get healthy and go from there. It's will be up to olshey what happens to him this coming off season. Hopefully we keep him at least the qualify offer or a friendly contract. The way we are deep this might prevent complications with the rotation. The way I have read up on it he should be able play normal when he is 100 percent.

Not only that but who cares, he’s not even that great anyways. At best he’s a serviceable journeyman like an Ed Davis. Nothing special but decent reliable big man. Just keep the main guys healthy that’s all I care about

Yeah but how long should it take for a lottery pick to learn not to foul?

obviously we all hope he heals

not sure what Meyers has to do with any of this

What deal? Unless we are willing to offer Dame there is no deal as they wouldn't take anything less why would they?

You know Nurk has foul out more then collins. He probably would less if our guards could defend better on the premieter.

Because I expect my big men to get in the paint and do work. Meyers never would. Hell, even Aldridge wouldn't as much as he should hence the LaMarcia nickname. Collins was a refreshing change. For me, if Collins played soft like Meyers I would be leading the call to release him. He doesn't.

Stars yes, but roleplayers? Like Brooklyn will survive even though they lost Dinwiddie who is a role player. We are not going to without RoCo and DJJ for a significant amount of time. With Zach at least we had someone who could sponge defensive minutes and keep us afloat.

Basically our margin of error is a lot lower now.

He doesn’t play soft, but he hardly plays. I guess if you want to compare his toughness to Meyers then obviously Collins wins big time. But that doesn’t make him less of a bust so far

That’s brutal. Being seen back in a boot was obviously a bad sign. I hope he can come back and contribute at some point in the future. He has shown some flashes and it would be a shame to see his career fade away due to injury.

If it’s a 12 week return he could theoretically be back at the end of the season right? Playoffs start May 22.

I wish we didn't view players so much by their salaries and where they were drafted... It skews everything.

I feel bad for Zach. None of this, neither his injuries nor perception of how he's performed based on where he was drafted, have been his fault.
