i hope that all those that needed the extended benefits and other considerations that were signed into law will get them in time to help them. we have been receiving funding for the pick up and distribution of produce, meat and dairy products through the Dept. of Agriculture, who purchased farm products from local producers for non profit distribution to local families in need. that funding expired when the last cares package ended last week. we haven't received word yet whether further funding for the program are included in the current legislation yet. the 80-100 families we were helping as well as the low income elderly on our lists will be negatively impacted until then. already one week without as a result. food insecurity during these trying times is one of the worst impacts the virus has had on our area. it was difficult to watch the negotiations and grandstanding waiting for this to be passed and signed without thinking of the kids and old folks that would be going without and wondering if they are so detached from reality in washington, that they could allow the process to be about ideals/policy/themselves instead of people. i was very disappointed in my conclusions.
ps. the hot meals distribution where every thursday we handed out 140 hot meals prepared at one of our local homeless centers funding also came to an end last week.

Hey, at this rate they’ll be worth so little we can use them as TP when the next shortage hits.

Edit: But I do call BS on the idea that there were that many dollar bills actually printed. I can’t remember the last time I used paper money to make a purchase.

Maybe for your high falootin' LA hookers and blow, but the hookers off of 122nd are cheap and easy.

I’m guessing ‘created’ would be a better descriptor of them inventing a bunch of invisible monopoly money. I’m sure you’re right, I doubt they physically printed anything. Probably couldn’t afford the paper.

you need to expand your shopping experience.. if you hit the hooker stores on 82nd they are free... not cheap, if you bring blow. not sure how it gets aNy easier.
