https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/pts_career.html Currently, Carmelo is 12th all time. Lillard is 130th all time. note: Lillard has scored about 2000 points per season for the last 5 seasons. Blazers Point leaders 1. Clyde Drexler* 18040 (this is as a blazer, overall he's 32nd all time) 2. Damian Lillard 15534 3. LaMarcus Aldridge 12562 4. Terry Porter 11330 5. Clifford Robinson 10405 6. Jerome Kersey 10067 7. He's likely to hit top 100 by end of the season: 100. Buck Williams 16784 Rank Player PTS 101. Latrell Sprewell 16712 102. Tiny Archibald* 16481 103. Rudy Gay 16460 104. Jerry Stackhouse 16409 105. And there are 5 pretty well known Blazers in that group. If i put Andre Miller in there. He wasn't a Blazer long but i sure liked him.
I’ve been checking out the leader boards after most games and he passes someone regularly. I think he started the season at 141. He passed Kemp and Perkins recently and Bob Dandridge yesterday against the Magic. I think Rashard Lewis is within his sights and eventually Rasheed Wallace this season.
If he continues at his 2000 points per season, he'll be top 100 at the end of this year, and top 70 and the end of the following year.
He passes to Melo all the time. The Problem is that Melo won't pass to anyone else. Can you imagine this place if Dame is still passing to Melo NEXT SEASON!
Currently, Carmelo all time points: 26746 is 12th all time (needs 26947 to pass Hakeem) Lillard all time points: 15564 is 129th (passing Dennis Johnson, needs 15579 to pass Gilmore)
Currently, Carmelo all time points: 26769 is 12th all time (needs 26947 to pass Hakeem) Lillard all time points: 15584 is 126th (passing Artis Gilmore, Rashard Lewis, and Walt Frazier, needs 15586 to pass Terry Porter) wow!
Currently, Carmelo all time points: 26794 is 12th all time (needs 26947 to pass Hakeem) Lillard all time points: 15649 is 123rd (passing Sam Cassell and Antoine Walker)
Currently, Carmelo all time points: 26806 is 12th all time (needs 26947 to pass Hakeem) Lillard all time points: 15692 is 121st (passing Hornacek and Larry Nance) Fun Math: Lillard is averaging about 30 ppg, and there are 72-28 = 44 games left. If he continues at that pace (unlikely, but not impossible), then he will score 44*30=1320 points, which would put him at ... 17012 career points at season end, which would put him at 97th (more likely 99th as Rudy Gay and Derozan will likely end up with more than 17012 career by season end).
He's scored 805 points this season, so he started the season with 15692 - 805 = 14887 points, which was 143rd.
Here's another reason I like Damian Lillard: When the game is close, we win. Margin of victory (by 9 or less): 2,8,1,6,6,3,1,9,3,2 Margin of loss (by 9 or less): 3,3,3 So, we're 10-3 in games decided by 10 or less. If the game is decided by 2 or less: we're 4-0. Why? Damian Lillard is clutch.
