Botto's BBQ on SE Milwaukie off Powell.

Fucking awesome BBQ! And the mac n cheese is good too.

But it's the BBQ that will have you coming back.

I now have a new addiction to their burnt end brisket.

The chorizo they have there is amazing. I usually will go there (I drive there... I could get it delivered but they lose so much money that way) and get 2 meals so I'm set for a couple days. Have never had a regret going there. My roommate told me about them and I said "you literally don't have to tell me anymore. Its mac and cheese. Im sold" but when I got there it was way better than I even thought.

KPTV just said we're looking at a lot more snow AND 3/4" of ice on the powerlines. We had storms like that when I was a kid. We twice lost power for 5 days. I remember my parents setting up our camping gear in the living room.

Aaaaah the good ol’ days........I grew up in a family heating business. My dad and my uncle had my brothers and I hauling heating oil as soon as we turned 16 (we didn’t need to be 18 or have no steeenking chauffeur’s license when our name was on the truck....or so we were told). During weather like this (it seemed like an annual occurrence) they’d pull us out of school and get us on the road pretty much round the clock. After a few trips, we’d crawl into our sleeping bags on the office floor for an hour or two, then they’d get us back up, give us a shot of Old Crow (cheap bastards) and send us back out. It was the only way to keep up with the demand for heating oil.....and we were much cheaper than their union drivers. It’s weather like this that makes me more grateful than ever to be retired..........

    Ah, memories....imagine doing that now!?

Of course, the new owners would probably be a little upset, but screw em!

I drove through the neighborhood where I grew up about a year ago, the current owner of my parents old house was out front so I stopped and talked to him. He gave me a tour of the house and I told him about the secret room upstairs in the house that was blocked off by a renovation that was done in the 1940s. I remember when my dad found it by accident.
