He was 33-1 to win it earlier this week, saw the same site today and down to 22-1 BUT he still has no chance unless the Blazers finish with a top 3 seed. The MVP award, especially in the NBA is a J-O-K-E! Right now I don't see how you can debate that he is the single most important player to his team in the league.

Get ready for the debacle on TNT tonight with Luka getting the nod to start in the All Star game ahead of Dame.

Fan vote might be excusable. But he's gonna get the media vote as well. Just watch.

Jokic might be more important... but the Nuggets aren't playing very well.

Always nice to hear stuff, but truthfully, we hear it in stretches through years past. It's how he does when the playoff comes that matters most. This year they HAVE to read the at least the conference finals (and be competitive in it), otherwise it's just another "what did he do in the playoffs".

That's exactly what Skip said. I think it's unfair that Dame gets saddled with all our losses in the post season because a lot of it is having a crap supporting cast surrounding him and Terry not being able to figure out how to punish teams for trapping Dame.

Embiid is important to the Sixers, but the Blazers beat the Sixers - twice - once without Dame even playing. Do you think Dame lets a team that he's leading and that's the top team in its conference like the Sixers are, lose twice to another guy in the MVP discussion? Not happening.

I remember a few years ago, when Dame (or maybe it was LMA) didn't make the team, and the excuse was that the team had a bad record (compared to the record of the teams from the players who made it, with arguably worse stats).

I'm not expecting him to start, but it's funny that the two players probably will start, are on teams with worse records.

I do feel bad for Donovan, as his team has the best record in the league...but the guy hasn't broken 20 in PER, compared to Luka, Steph and Dame each over 26 (and Dame is #1 of those 3, with 27).

It's hard to argue against either one of those two (Luka or Steph) to be honest. While it'd be nice if Dame got the recognition, I'm not worried nor do I care much.

The hype around Curry and Doncic is super annoying. Especially Doncic. He's a fantastic player but what the hell has he accomplished other than gaudy stats?

looking at the stats between the 3 players, the DBPM has it -1.7 (I think) for Dame, 0 for Step and 1 for Luka.

Maybe I'm dumb, but is that saying Dame is the worst defender of the 3?

He at least still has Murray ... Dame doing this with Kanter (?) as the 2nd best player on the floor is next level stuff.

My question is how can he be in the conversation as MVP and not be a starter in the All Star game?
