I wonder about this not only in that game but consistently it seems Dame tries to cover the other teams best scorer in the back court. Steph, Booker, Harden, Beal, Even Westbrook at times. I just don't get it. Other great players try to stay away from it so they can conserve energy and allow better defenders to keep the other player from getting hot early. Dame insists on trying to guard them?
Tonight only after Booker cooked us for about 20 points did Trent start covering him. Too Late!

You shouldn't need to stagger two guys making 30M. It just doesn't make sense. I'm not ever saying that CJ's not a fantastic offensive player. I just don't think he gets what he should out of Dame and Dame doesn't get what he should out of CJ. So get Randle and a backup PG and move on. That's what I think at least but you're lucky because I think Neil is with you on this one.

 

Unfortunately it’s going to be a four game losing streak. Possibly more.

IF we didn't allow the Suns to score 31+ in every quarter, then

But probably not because this has been the same result as most other games against a western conference playoff team.

 

Our next games are against Denver, LA, CHA, GSW, and Sac. We very well might not win again until we play Sac.

Seemed to me he knows he has that 3 made 3 point shots per game streak going and is going to make sure it keeps going.

One guy in the starting unit who can create his own shot is not going to work.
Besides shooting like shit, and playing less than stellar D, Trent had 2 rebounds in 36 minutes.
