Today Congress passed the Equality Act by a vote of 224-206 with "3" (yes count them) 3 Republicans voting yes....no longer can businesses and institutions discriminate against anyone in the LGBTQ community....I salute the passing of this bill and highlight that 206 of 209 Republicans in Congress voted NO on this bill....what a shame on their party.

How many genders do you believe there are?
That's like saying how many types of music are there....my answer...who cares? A good song is a good song! People are whack with their needs for defining everything...we're all standard meat popsicles...mucus and bobbles....but that shouldn't stop us from choosing a path that isn't for everybody or being treated fairly

So your answer is "I don't know". Why do we have men's and women's restrooms then? That's discrimination!

no...my answer is, people define themselves and if there's a need who cares if there's more bathrooms or even just one for everyone.....I sure don't but I respect the needs of others...my bathroom situation is fine with my gender....I would have no problem if they were all shared by everyone....no gender needed. When they start handing out shovels with a roll of toilet paper and point to a field...I'll complain

When the question is "how many" and you don't come up with a number, your answer is "I don't know"

same thing.
no it's not but I can see you're bored....how about the right to serve in the military or become president.a trauma surgeon..a teacher..how does equality fall for you in those circumstances?

Sure, let women fight on the front lines like everyone else. Actually, require it, since there are no genders anymore.

Agree?

Plenty like that in Bay area. No resulting problem. Just picked up new glasses, eye doctor has one single stall restroom.
All over the world I've found it to be like that many places...no big deal...people don't have gender tags on porta potties either without problems.

It would be sensible to simply have bathrooms that anyone can use, all stalls. Assuming the practicalities of public bathrooms are your concern here.

I agree.

Most restaurants here turned the men's room into the "catch-all for the 87 genders" but left the women's room as is.

Really? So we go from... no longer can businesses and institutions discriminate against anyone in the LGBTQ community.

To... BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BATHROOMS?!? THINK ABOUT THE POOR BATHROOMS!

Did people get this upset when we had to pass a law to allow disabled and handicap people to use public restrooms?

"But... but... but... a wheelchair bound person could roll into the bathroom and start raping the childrens. WHY AREN'T WE THINKING ABOUT THE CHILDRENS?!?!"

Wait. So fuck Title IX, then?
Why? Federal grants for education or sports scholarships doesn't cover private business and the military, civil service, etc....it's an education civil rights amendment...today we got an equality bill across the board that in the end props up Title IX in my view. Title IX was about students and student athletes pretty much from my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong here

Does that mean there needs to be equal representation for transgenders? What does this bill actually entail and mean in real actual practice?

We have to identify someone by their self-identified gender?

I posted a link to the article..you can read it and understand what it means....not being discriminated against is the general idea....your guys voted 206-3 against the bill....so your GOP members suck....hope that helps! How guys who suck so much can be homophobes is pretty baffling when you stop to think about it....

I'll read what infowars has to say about it.

If someone asks to be identified by a different term or gender is it really that hard or offensive to you?

I don't think El Prez is GOP.

I think he's hipster independent.
