How many times have you been married? Divorce isn't the only way to find a keeper! 3rd time's a charm is just a children's fairy tale! We don't need a team divorce...we just need some marriage counseling and a prenup! I'm here to give kjironman a break. It's my job now to reawaken the thread and provide the controversy that will make this rival the Melo thread.!
I have been through the process many many times. If you think i don't understand it you are more than wrong. It ain't me "reawakening" this thread. You are wrong about that also obviously. You are also very wrong about my "Sole' purpose. How about that? You are wrong three times in the same comment. That might be a record for the day? Going on 88 pages....
You realize very shortly after the new coach/GM starts, people will be calling for them to be fired, right? It's sports message board 101: The coach sucks The GM is an idiot The bench players are better than the starters.
Yes of course but at least then we can lay into those people and they’ll have nothing to come back with. Short conversations I think.
Same posters will just use different names to say basically the same thing...the big question is...who get the Meyers Leonard treatment this season?
I believe it more like: the optimists think they are realists; the pessimists think they are realists; the realists think like me
How are we still getting teabagged by the same schemes as three years ago?? How is that NOT a coaching issue? How does Stotts actually make this team better?
Because our roster still has poor defending point of attack guards, wings who teams aren't worried about as shooters, and right now, a center who is considered one of the worst defenders in the league. And the coach too, but mostly the roster creatation. Defense starts with the ability to defend one on one.
Just thought I’d pop in to see if there was anything new to read about. Nope. So I thought I’d just comment that it’s boring so fire and trade everyone.
Well, as much as I think Stotts is pretty uninspired, of the coaches listed ahead of him, the only ones I'd rather have for Portland are Brad Stevens and Rick Carlisle.
Spoelstra wasn't ahead of him on the list, or I'd have included him. As for Bud, you guys keep talking about how Stotts can't change his schemes. That's what's done Bud in, in Atlanta and especially Milwaukee. Being too inflexible with his style of play and getting waxed in the playoffs.
You say that as if it's bad. To alleviate your fear of changing anything, you want to keep mediocre people forever. To repeat, the process is: Keep changing people until you get someone really good.
