Wow - This brings back memories of some all time greats - "Downtown" Freddie Brown and "Slick" Watts so named for his shaved head! Thanks for the memories!
One question i have. How often do we see players like this do some kind of workout before signing? If Blake Griffin can't really play any more wouldn't a team be smart to give him a workout? Quite often they have to pass a physical so why not a workout?
So he can’t jump, dunk, rebound, play D or shoot the 3 anymore? The idea of Broken Blake and Old Melo being our PF rotation seems depressing to me. I’d pass.
Dennis Johnson Jack Sikma Gus Williams Lonnie Shelton Tom LaGarde Those guys were so good. Wish I could have seen them. NBA please get a new franchise to Seattle ASAP.
I think he's bought out or close to it so he'll go to whatever team his agent chooses....CJ has the same agent he has..he knows Neil well. We have a roster spot..I don't think any trading will be done....Blake will just move on from Detroit. They haven't been able to trade him or they wouldn't buy him out at that pricetag....he left 13 mil on the table
He’s 32 in a week and he sucks so bad no team wanted to trade for him. He’s an older version of Brandon Roy or a peer of Victor Oladipo. From All-NBA to awful in an instant. His knees are done. There’s no coming back from it. You don’t like to see it but it happens.
Had no idea that Flake Griffin has only played more than 66 games 3x in his 10 seasons. Completely overrated and limited player who should pay Chris Paul half of money for Griffin’s post-rookie contracts. For such athleticism, he was just average on defense at his peak.
My brain has always remembered that the team brought back detlef the same time they signed Strickland, but Detlef was brought back a whole month prior to Rod signing with the Blazers. I must've blocked that whole season from my memory.
Detlef signed in August, Pippen was traded for Oct 2nd. Detlef had 'retired' after the 99-2000 season, and Trader Bob convinced him to come back, and he did around Feb 1st of 2000.
I was making a joke. The Pistons are a high lotto lock in a stacked draft. Their pick is more valuable then any of their players including Grant... they aren't trading it. STOMP
Because this kind of players deservedly feel disrespected if they are asked to prove they can still play with workout. Physical they do and they feel it's enough. It's not that he asks for more than the minimum anyway.
