You mean that Jewish hippy looking dude. But actually he is not the god that racists need to praise these days.
I'm soon to be 67 and most ethnic slurs like the ones I heard in Viet Nam probably had no meaning at all...just derogatory terms....same with others including the slur they called us Irish....doesn't make sense literally but it stuck.
Yeah I heard this term growing up in the 70’s a handful of times, and I guess put it in the category like what you listed and never bothered to ask what it means if it means anything.
For those wondering what it means, it's derived from the Hebrew word kikel-- meaning "circle"--based on the tendency of Jewish immigrants to sign their entry paperwork with circles rather than X's (eschewing the X because it could also be perceived as representative of the Christian cross).
interesting...thank you for that bit of info....I had no idea but figured it was derived from Hebrew. I'm pretty sure Mick for the Irish came from Ellis Island potato famine immigrants when many of the Irish had Mc in front of their name like McCartney, McConnell, etc...many dropped the Mc and just became...Connell etc..never understood how the British came up with the term Frogs for the French....
I figured he had no clue what it meant. Bunch of white nerds got all upset on this board about it, though.
It’s a bullshit, generic, made up PR apology. Almost word for word what I knew he’d say. He’s 30 and knows what it means. Who says words like that, when angry or frustrated, and thinks it means something other than a bad/negative/derogatory term? Apologizing for him is pathetic and I’m frankly sickened anyone would try to. Posts that do, can fuck the right off.
Which is what I meant about wanting more details, unlike the mob in this thread who strike first as mobs going on partial information always do. It’s not like Meyers has some long history of bigotry that means he shouldn’t be given the benefit of the doubt.
You think he wrote that? Hahahahahahahaha. I'm sorry you got played. He knew what he said. The fact you think he didn't know what the word meant. Thats not a word that people don't know the meaning of and just say it... at 30.
So now you’re calling him a liar based on your own personal feelings and ability to read minds. There’s a word for people like you.
