I think Meyers lost the benefit of the doubt in many people’s eyes because he was also the only guy to not kneel for the anthem in the bubble. Not a good look for HAMMER
Come on now, this is 2021. He plays in a league full of people of different races and religions (or lack of religion). If he was 15, he'd maybe get a pass. But he's been in the league 9 years, he's almost 30...he's not this sheltered.
How is he “educated?” He took 3 semesters of college at best. Nothing about him going back to his days here in Portland had me thinking now this guy is a real thoughtful intellect.
Did Meyers steal your girlfriend or something? This is a league that ignores genocide of Muslims in China because of how dependent it is on Chinese consumers. Spare me the faux outrage. Everyone who posts here and loves the NBA is ignoring the horrors in southwest China.
Oh sure, all those rednecks that drop N bombs also have no idea what they mean because they didn't finish high school.
I generally give people the benefit of the doubt. I'm less likely to do so in relation to racial slurs.
and that, my dear friends, is one of the best red herrings you'll ever see in your life! Bask in the greatness, it's a once in a lifetime experience!
I don’t know if you’re a soft and overly-emotional person or not, but it’s a word and you’ve spent your day being upset about it. Which is weird. There are so many worse things going on right now than a 100 IQ Dribble Ball player with bleached hair saying something stupid while playing video games. I mean, the fact he’s 30 and streams himself gaming tells me he is not a developed adult and is quite child-like in his life.
Also keep in mind they have sensitivity seminars during their time in the NBA if im not mistaken (you know, like most any other company).. So, he knew. And still used it.
This thread is about Meyers and what he said. That’s why I’m commenting on it. So save the “there’s more important things going on”. No shit.
