I don't lump all Laker fans in the same category either; as a general practice, I think stereotyping large groups of people is at best lazy and at worst, dangerous. I hate the Lakers because they've had our number over the years and it's no fun seeing someone else win at your expense.
Or another way to look at it, the Ducks are PAC12 champs, but beavs beat them so that too makes them champs.
yeah that works...that way the Ducks won 3 NCAA basketball championships by beating UCLA the years they were winning the title game
I've attended a lot of sporting events but I have to say by far the most fun I've ever had at any sporting event was both of the Rose Bowl wins. The Rose Bowl was always the #1 ultimate goal and hope going into every school year... winning it was surreal. STOMP
Of course. So much fun. I have Beavers season tickets. Love being there when we win or lose. Tailgating is best part. I have friends who went to the Beavs Fiesta Bowl. They had a blast. Beavs had an awesome year. Just isn't the same as you winning the national title. Ducks made that stage twice. Good for them. Win one of them and ducks would live in glory forever. To quote Nelly. "What does it take to be #1. Because 2 is not a winner and 3 nobody remembers."
in the Track & Field vs baseball debate, since I'm native-Oregonian I'd say 9 out of 10 Oregonians know who Steve Prefontaine was and who Ashton Eaton is. And, 9,999 out of 10,000 Oregonians couldn't name a single beaver baseball player unless it is Luke Heimlich, baseball wouldn't be the reason they know the name
Beavs looking great once again... a real shame this will only be counted as a participation trophy to some.
I've heard this story of a $100 bet to win $20,000 (+20000 odds), but I haven't seen anything in the last two weeks that had them any worse than +2500 odds.
Wasn’t sure I’d ever see the orange and black confetti falling at one of these - been a long time coming! Let’s keep winning games!
