Blazers last in the league in defense

I went with the two that could most easily be remedied. Dame and Melo aren't going anywhere. And apparently neither is Stotts.

 

I think Stotts should go after this season. Yeah he doesn't have much to work with on defense but he can't put together something that at least makes us mediocre on D. I don't think we need a guy like Tom Thibodeau but someone that at least has some creative ideas. Any offensive wizardry or game management that he gives to the team should be fine carried over in Dame's hands. As long as you get a coach that's willing to let Dame do his thing and not try to rein him in.

 

Stotts should have gone after the Pels embarrassed us. There was zero reason to keep him after that. We had Dame. We had CJ. We had Nurk. We got spanked. That was the time to get off the Terry Stotts train.

He's spending an enormous amount of energy trying to buoy up one of the worst defenses in the history of the NBA. That energy expenditure has a significant cost.

 

another thought about the defense: if Portland had a top-5 pace; if their offense sped the game up...that would at least mitigate, to some degree, their defensive ranking. But they are 20th in pace

 

Guys I can guarantee you Stotts doesn’t make till next season. Just be patient. This is his last year.

You're talking about Dame making up for our shit defense with his offense.

Wiz is saying that means Dame is going to be exhausted by the playoffs.

You then said something that I honestly couldn't decipher because of the lack of punctuation.

LOL.... does that mean Learn only Lebanese? This one time I was in a book store and I saw a book about Lebanese recipes.
