I'm not sure how much value CJ would have for them because they have Edwards and Russell. The only chance you might have at getting him would be as part of a threeway.

If you want KAT, I think this deal is realistic with the reported rumors that the Knicks want CJ.

 

if NY was giving up Randle and Rivers for CJ, I'd just do that and keep Nurk. I love KAT, but that's better value.

KAT seems pretty injury prone as well. So we replace one injury prone center with another one, while also giving up CJ.

 

Yeah, I’m not a fan of that trade idea.

 

The injury stuff is fairly recent freak ones for KAT. He played 82 games in each of his first three years and 77 in his fourth. He's actually the model of durability, unlike guys like Embiid/AD who sit out for everything.

Towns has played 137 more games than Embiid in his career, even if he was drafted a year after Joel.

 

KAT is just waiting to explode on a contender. Like AD on Lakers last year.

I was advocating trading CJ for Randle + 1rd Pick last off-season. Unfortunately, I think Randle has raised his value where getting picks in a CJ trade is unlikely now.
