their announcer was so salty all game. apparently they think dame gets every call and we were allowed to play very physical defense on zion without repercussions.

but he repeated that they usually sweep us, including in the playoffs.

Nice win considering CJ and Trent went 4-27
Not much scoring from Hood, Little, or Jones.
But great defense from almost everyone.

Following the thread while doing work, I thought we were down rather than mostly in control of the game.

I don’t know why I rely on y’all bitches instead of real sites with real scores.

I haven't had a chance to read the thread yet. I assumed a near wire to wire victory that this thing would be full of nothing but unicorns and rainbows!

Edit: After a quick skim, still pissing and moaning about Hood (who has been bad all year) & Melo (who was more than fine). Now that Ant isn't playing, people have gone from saying how much he sucks to saying he should be in the game. Minimal praise for the defense.

    Tough crowd!

    * weird game in my view. In the 1st Q, Portland (Dame) picked up where they ended in the 4thQ Tuesday night. After that, the Blazers got worse...for 3 Q's

    * Dame was so pissed off at all the assists his teammates robbed from him that he decided to pad his turnover numbers

    * CJ and Trent updated their resumes for joining the bricklayers union....I mean, c'mon 4-27??...really?? Add Jones and it was 7-38....yikes!

    * in these two games, Portland was 52-56 on FT's (93%). Blazers won the two games by a combined 9 points. Blazers won the foul line by 19 points

I mentioned this in the other thread but I noticed at the end of the game that Zach was still in a walking boot. He was limping too but that was probably just the boot

him returning by May 15, less than 2 months now, when the regular season ends seems pretty optimistic. But maybe wearing the boot is just being over-cautious

Noticed that Giles was suited up tonight. Is he cleared to play?

Well, that was the best game of the season except maybe the Philly game. We played solid D throughout and the outcome was never in doubt. Solid solid win.

He's a fantastic shooter, what are you talking about?
And he's made more than Trae Young, I believe.

And it didn't matter. Obviously, all our focus was on D. Offense and shooting can suffer when you're giving it your all on the other side of the court. I'd much rather win like we did today than we did two nights ago. This is how you win in playoffs.

Because we played D. Did you not watch the game. We controlled the entire game. Shooting droughts and unfortunate turnovers did not matter because we were locked in on D. This is how you win in playoffs.
Me too. Best defensive game of the season.

...barely, I saw a few minutes at end of half and some more in the 4th at the end :dunno: glad to know this is what "real" defense looks like!!
