Well I know it is one game but I like the Powell trade. He can shoot, he seems to play under control, doesn't force it too much and plays pretty good D it looked like. He can help out Dame and CJ a lot.

This is all on Olshey. He admitted to much in the article. I get why he might have done it. The aesthetics of them treating Melo well might look good to potential free agents in the future. But to let him have free will and guaranteed minutes is frustrating.

This is CJ's 8th year in the league and he's still forcing shots with defenders draped all over him.

Powell looked like the best Blazer tonight, followed by Ant.

He and Kanter dragged Melo and Little's plus/minus up.

not unless he's scorching hot. he's just so lazy. id just prefer any engaged defender over anything he brings

He needs about two weeks to get into basketball shape.

Easily. So poised, so smooth and so in control. As much as I loved Gary, he played out of control a lot of the time.

Neil blew it... CJ for Harden straight up is right in front of him. Look at CJ play PG, he is clueless.

    Powell makes CJ expendable.

    Powell VS CJ

Great efficiency vs "Chuck city" - too many forced/bad shots and dribble mania

One game yes but what a contrast

Lotta talk about Powell playing the SF. Tonight, he guarded their PG (MCW). Very versatile.

Powell is a big upgrade over Gary and I can tell by the shots he turned down that he’s a smart disciplined player. It’s a joke letting Nurk take 3 pointers. Dame can make more shots from half court than Nurk can from 3. It’s a joke letting Melo jack up contested turn around jumpers. No discipline.

Somehow, someway the Blazers manage to beat the vaunted Magic on the road. Join us for the Blazers Uprise Postgame Show as we try and breakdown how they accomplished such a monumental feat:

I am telling you that you will get that kind of game often from Powell. He is very efficient and knows what shots are good for him. He is also used to playing small ball and the Raptors switch all over the floor so he is comfortable covering whoever.
He will never be a great 1 on 1 iso player, but if you don;t need that, you will love the guy. very fit and 100% effort all the time.

Happy with Powell, but disappointed overall. This was a chance to significantly improve out Drtg and +/-. Sad.
