First #1 seed to fall as Indiana upset NC State 73-70. Indiana would have had an easier time had they not apparently attended the Chris Dudley School of free throw shooting, bricking more than half their free throws. But stopped clocks are right twice a day, true? A 50% career free throw shooter made two in the final seconds.

UCLA wins to 3 of the Elite 8 will be Pac-12. Impressive.

While I'm a Beaver at heart, GO Ducks! Take out USC!

I was shocked at how ill-prepared Oregon was. I thought Altman would spend all week teaching a couple of tweaks against the USC zone. Can't play Lawson in a big game; he is a choker. Not sure why Figueroa was so afraid to take fairly open threes, and why Williams when he was the inside guy wouldn't take open ten footers. Just very puzzling.

Oregon women got clobbered. Their starting point guard was injured and early in the game the backup point guard had to leave with an injury. It showed, as offense ground to a halt.

So crazy that the OSU men are the last team from the state standing.

Maryland won their first two games by 40 point margins, then we're upset by Texas in a nail biter.

Today is much hyped Elite Eight matchup of UConn and Baylor. Both considered strong candidates to win it all.

Yeah, I saw that going into the sweet 16, ESPN had actually moved Baylor ahead of UConn as the tourney favorite.

Generally I'm fully pro-Husky, but I'm just not feeling it with this year's squad. Go Bears.

Them Ducks of mine were served up on a platter....the agony of defeat.. however my father taught me and I taught my kids "the hardest thing about being a good sport is knowing how to lose respectfully and humbly"

I usually root for underdog, but Baylor really isn't. So public university vs private religious college. And they insist lesbians stay in the closet.

UConn hasn't won a title in five years. They call that a serious drought. They should try being a Blazers fan.

Franz Wagner is a joy to watch.

Will need to become a more willing and proficient shooter to fulfill his potential offensively, but love his blend of size, skill and smarts. One of the best two-way players in the country this year.

Fan of Scottie Barnes too. His fit at the next level is a little more murky, but his tools, passing and mentality are very appealing.

Would take both in the top 8 and above Jalen Johnson.

    Baylor by two at halftime.

Russell Wilson was in the arena yesterday to cheer on younger sister Anna, who plays for Stanford.

Neither Oregon or Oregon State use dribble penetration much at all. Their offenses look like something out of the fifties. Pass, catch, hold, pass, catch, hold...

Baylor built 10 point lead in the third, but UConn went on a run, and quarter ended up a tie. Baylor by two after three.

Maybe if OSU could get a fucking rebound they could get back in the game.
