I order from these apps a lot.

A lot of couples do it together so one of them hops in and out of the car and the other leaves the car running.

I work from home. On the phone most of the day. I thought to myself, "ya know what? This might be a cool way to get some live interaction with folks in my community."

    I'm a people person, dangit!!

Jon does it, too. He seems to appreciate it and seems to be having fun interacting with customers and finding new interesting restaurants.

As a customer my experience has not been great. We regularly have missing items to the point where I am sure the drivers are just taking what they want because there is no accountability. I go through the missing item credit and get my money back but all my tips and fees were based off a bigger order and they dont change, never mind that we still need some food and Im sure the restaurant ends up eating the cost. It always ruins the night for someone when this happens and its happened enough that we have stopped using these types of services because we cant rely on them.

I've gotten full meal refunds on multiple instances. In LA sometimes it takes over an hour.

I use doordash mainly for pickup nowadays.

Well, I'll be my own separate company. Customer satisfaction matters to me.

This is precisely why I do Uber and Lyft, but avoid the food delivery. I'd rather have conversations with people that I'm transporting rather than just bring them meals. Plus it pays much better.

Call the restaurant and pick it up directly or ask if they have their own delivery. The delivery services take a chunk of each purchase that really screws the restaurant

App is easier. I try more new spots via what's convenient on the app map

I'm talking about more mom and pop restaurants, you order your Olive Garden anyway you want.

unfortunately most just go through some drive service for "convenience", even linked off of their website. I usually just drive myself to pick up, to avoid them taking a hit
