It's not that Ava August has an absolutely incredible voice, so much that it's captivating in a unique way. Plus, she's only 15!! Perfect duet song for her last evening, along with Groban.
How else can people like HCP advance in this world? For fucks sake, that's the first thing listed on HCP's resume!
I use to eat a banana every morning with my oatmeal. Now, sadly, as a dialysis patient I am medically prevented from eating bananas. I ate a small banana about two years ago and my potassium level went up so high that I was in danger of having my heart stop. Only dialysis can remove potassium from your blood. There is a medication that you can take with foods containing high amounts of potassium that binds the potassium in the gut but it is not any fun to take. Dialysis patients get all of their potassium removed during dialysis just to have just the right amount reinserted during the dialysis process. This is why I sometimes have a glass of orange juice right before going to dialysis. Bananas have too much potassium for my safety during the three hours between breakfast and dialysis.
Yet another 2 nights of spectacular music. Really pulling for 1) Ava August; 2) Willie Spence; 3) Madison Watkins; 4) Hunter Metts (mainly. because he's local to us.)
One of the top contestants, Wyatt Pike, mysteriously left the show. He recently killed his top 16 performance (Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody"), and the reasoning behind his departure is still unknown.
Who actually watches this shit??????? I thought the show had died a merciful death a couple of years ago.......

I know that in previous seasons of American Idol the contract that the contestants sign makes them obligated to the show if they finish in the top 10. Things like you have to use AI's representation and record contracts. He probably has someone telling him that he's popular enough to quit the show before his full contract kicks in and can make more money away from AI.
Could be. As I had mentioned, I'd never watched the show until this year, but my wife has told me that, in many cases, the lower placed contestants have gone on to become bigger stars. Go figure.
I just remembered reading that if Jennifer Hudson hadn't been cut when she was she wouldn't have been allowed to be in Dream Girls because of the AI contract they have to sign.
Looking forward to tonight's show after taking a week off due to the Oscars. Probably will watching this, as well. Coming up in June. https://www.nbc.com/americas-got-talent
We really enjoy this show. Looking forward to the 2nd half of the final 24 tonight! From Hawaii, so it's extra special as we were just there!
