Here is someone's post about this on reddit. To go to that much trouble to view something so vile is IMO acting on it and supporting it.

Sorry to nitpick, but it annoys me that the writer of that explainer used "deep web" and "dark web" interchangeably. They're two very different things. The dark web (which is what he meant all along) is the part of the internet intended to be difficult to find, usually due to shady/illegal things going on (though it can also be used for things like dissidents communicating in an authoritarian country). The deep web is the vast majority of the internet that is not indexed by search engines and is often dynamically-generated or behind security. Your online banking pages are deep web. The pages a pizzeria's website generates to display your order and allow you to pay are deep web.

But yeah, creating demand for child porn (or "online CSA") is part of "acting on it." Not as awful as physically harming a child, but still within that domain.

That's not a thing. Maybe you meant the dank web. That's the part of the internet with the spiciest memes, normies beware.

It is a mental illness, a serious mental illness such as murder. Some people have to be locked up until cured and I don't know of any cure for pedophilia. You do the math.

I couldn't see turning myself in nor could I see killing myself. I could see getting treatment and not ruining a person's life when they're young to feed my addiction.

Gay, lesbian, bisexual may be sexual orientations, but each group as a whole are their own genders. Therefore, as I see it, your whole post is incorrect.

This is why I don't talk about transgender issues. Besides the fact that I can't use their terms due to my autism. People always twist this shit around. It is the main reason why I hate dealing with this subject.

Don't bother responding as I won't debate this shit any further with anyone here. I can't use their terms due to my aspergers, I still call him Bruce Jenner, because I can't use their terms. This always pisses transgender people off. As it seems that I am the one who must be understanding of them, yet in return I don't get the same consideration back from them.

Edit: From the World Health Organizations own website. Gender refers to the characteristics of women, men, girls and boys that are socially constructed.

    (Gender is a social construct)

I don't know a lot about Asperger's. I therefore admit I don't know why Asperger's would prevent a person from calling another by the name they prefer, or to insist that gay, lesbian, bi, trans are actually genders when those of us in the community say otherwise.

Couldn't you also admit that you don't know a lot about our community?

I work with people under the ASD umbrella, and it's not about knowing a lot about a community as much as it's about black and white things. (Not race black and white, but it is or it isn't). Something makes sense or it doesn't, nuances, shades of grey, etc, aren't easily perceived by people who are under the "umbrella".

It's never personal, and it's not a slight against someone. It's similar to how LGBTQ will say it's how they're wired, that's how people who are ASD/Aspergers are wired. It doesn't mean they hate someone, or whatever, it just means that it doesn't make sense to how they perceive the world.

It's kind of ironic for you to have RR "admit" he doesn't know a lot about your community, when you know probably less about his.

Yes, obviously seek treatment first. Before you're a threat. I took the question to mean a person would be compelled to act on those desires. At which point they are a threat to children, and not fit for freedom.

But yes, if not a threat to act, treatment would be the way.

I acknowledged not knowing much about Asperger's. And others don't know much about my community.

Yeah, I get thats what you're saying. It's just funny that you're arguing he doesn't know your community, when you're being critical of what he said, when he's basically saying because of how his brain is wired, that's how he see's it. Not in a "wrong vs right" aspect, but just a black and white thing. And it's not a "I'm a old codger, it's how it was when I was a kid" mind either.

I also think if people read up on ASD/Aspergers (and a variety of other disabilities/difference lifestyles), there'd be far less confusion/misinterpretation what people are saying.

His reaction has zero to do with getting to know a community better, whereas your response has something to do with not knowing his community that well.

example: I have people I work with every week, and they've known me for years now. And at times I interact with dozens of people on or near the ASD spectrum/umbrella. And there are times when I'm joking or using nuance in my language, or use certain words that are socially acceptable between friends and they don't necessarily interpret it the same way.

Even the ones who I have worked with and have known for years.

Why do the ones who have known me for years, in some cases almost 15 years, still struggle with reading my body language or tone?

Because of how their brain is wired. It's not a case where they need to "know me better" (that's part of it) as much as a reminder that I have to realize that I need to know their community better.

Their reactions (or lack of reactions) don't mean they're slighting me etc, but it doesn't mean there aren't people who are ASD/aspergers, who don't like me or don't find me pleasant to be around. I'm also not saying this is how it is with everyone on the ASD/aspergers spectrum.

In other words, sometimes we have to learn to not immediately get on the defensive. It took me a long time to learn that lesson with the population I work with.

When it comes to someone who has previously molested kids and is under arrest for child porn I'm going to assume the worst.

    Not what I’m talking about.

Do I need to keep saying this? The Duggar guy belongs in prison for a very long time.

I know a dude who is one of these people. I knew him when we were both young. He was actually arrested. I think he’s probably in prison now. He was really weird when I knew him. Didn’t know how to be around people. Was home schooled. I actually wasn’t surprised when I heard he was arrested and his crime was disgusting. But with that said, I don’t think it’s fair to blame these people for being fucked up. We can blame them for the crimes they commit and punish them, but that doesn’t stop me from wondering if there was anything that could have been done when this dude was young to stop him from being a monster.

Another example; my brother in law is schizophrenic. It has completely ruined his life. He didn’t choose to be schizophrenic. It just happened. But we can treat it and hopefully make his life better.

How do you treat pedophilia? And who the hell would want to come forward and say that they’re having those thoughts?
