I agree. I think the term "cancel culture" removes a lot of nuance, and this is a great example. Should he be in prison? No. Is it great that he seems to have pulled his shit together with his family? Yep. Would I listen to him give his opinion in an interview about an NBA situation. Absolutely. Is all that domestic stuff a stain that disqualifies him from one of the most desirable, public NBA jobs? I kind of think it should.
I hear ya. I also don't know about his actual coaching prowess. The problem i have is attaching any statement made by an ex wife to someone. Obviously I've been through it. My ex had people thinking i was an axe murderer. The one thing he has going is Bay Area Native and that might carry a little weight?
Are they the SOLE owners, though? For example, doesn't Jeannie Buss share with her brother (even if he's no longer allowed to have any say in running things)?
It might be? My personal feelings on it is he is done here but those are just that. "Personal Feelings" about the matter. At this point even a "Mediocre" new coach would be the best way to finding a great new coach. Gotta start somewhere but we know what we've had.

I've always felt that superstars win championships and coaches manage role players. That's why guys who were role players in the league are often better coaches, because they really understand what it's like to be the very best your whole life and then be told you get 14mpg and go stand in the corner on offense. I'd be all about adding the Steve Blake/Wes Matthews/Ime Udoka types who stuck in the league on pure grit despite underwhelming talent. Especially the journeyman-types who have moved around a lot of rosters and therefore have seen things run a lot of different ways. I'd go with Udoka first as he has more experience as a coach, though.
