    Las Vegas does have the geographical advantage in terms of cartographic location. :( close to Arizona, LA, Colorado.

    But that could also be their downfall.... we need a 2nd team up here. Natural rivalry, etc.

    What I meant was that I looked at multiple sources and each one had Portland metro ahead. One of your sources had the metro at 2.1?

    Must not be including Vancouver and SoWa.

    When I looked at 2019 #'s, Las Vegas has just over 2.2M and Portland has just over 2.4M. Portland would have the higher population for sure in 2021, but Vegas will have easier time finding a location and building the infrastructure to support it.

    Oakland A's aren't going anywhere. This is a move by the league to put pressure on the local government to agree with the plan.

    Either way, not trying to argue which is the bigger city. Just that vegas wouldn't be relying solely on tourists.

    Oakland A's aren't going anywhere. This is a move by the league to put pressure on the local politicians.

    Mariners have been to the playoffs 4 TIMES since 1977.

    People will freak out but in reality that would be the best possible outcome for MLB to PDX.

    Without Vegas, Portland would almost be guaranteed to get a team if/when expansion occurs.

    Really tired of our city being ignored by the pro sports. This is not a small metro area. We're bigger than a lot of cities that have multiple teams.
