that's exactly who he has been passing to when he's been doubled in the playoffs. And CJ has responded so well to being the outlet, this is Portland's record when the opposing team has leaned really hard into the 'double/trap-get-the-ball-out-of-Dame's-hands' defense in the playoffs:

    3-24

ya not sure why anyone would think that.

if there's ever a time to play dame 40+ mins, this game is it. Even last game, i was a bit on the fence, but ultimately, it made sense to run dame into the ground. this is about as much of a must win as that game against BK was to end the reg season last year. We won that game by 1 pt.

Dame and CJ played 44 minutes each.

Portland is favored by 10 to win the game. Looks like the Nuggets will be tanking this game.

that win against the Lakers is looking even bigger now than it was 8 days ago. Blazers would be locked-in as 7th seed right now if they had lost that game

But it’s not one and done. It’s two home games to win one vs. the Warriors, Grizzlies or Spurs. If you can’t get one home game from one of these teams then how do you expect to compete with the Clippers?

The Nuggets may be tanking the PDX game. But, it is out of their hands because if the Clippers tank against OKC, Denver gets the #3 seed anyway. It is all up to the Clippers. My guess is that since the Clippers tanked on Friday against Houston, they will tank again on OKC in order to insure they get the #4 seed and can avoid the Lakers. The Clippers are just chicken shit ballerinas. I hope that George and Leonard get long rests this offseason, especially the latter who takes a rest whenever he wants and fakes an injury just as often.

What will be just as interesting will be whether the Mavs will be tanking against Minnesota to try for the #6 seed and the chance to play the depleted Nuggets rather than a full squad of Clippers in a 4/5 matchup. By the way, OKC may be tanking also so the Clipper/Thunder may beat the record for worst FG percentage in a regular season. After all, this is just typical NBA bs in a league that makes a travesty of professional sports every time one of its games get played.

I read where OKC might want to tank as well so they can be no worse than tied for 3rd. (In the lottery)

    OKC definitely wants to tank.

I think I am going to tank too, setting up a cage match with @THE HCP, except he will win because I am a puss. But then I will sue him, so my tanking strategy will bear fruit in 2-4 years!

Why would we choke two games in the tournament?

Fair question. I want to win today but if not, us losing twice to Warriors, Grizzlies, Spurs is doubtful.

RoCo makes those FTs last game and this game wouldn’t matter, we would actually wanna lose it to play Den in a 3-6 matchup. Now if we win it’s a 3-6 matchup with the Clippers. Damn why didn’t he make at least one.

So if we win and Clips win, we'll be facing LA in round one. Gotta root hard for OKC i guess, but prolly not gonna happen.

I hate that we will be 2 Roco FTs away from playing Denver in round one instead. That's super frustrating.

Not necessarily. If, in your scenario, Dallas loses, we would be 5th, facing Denver.

i think it is a foregone conclusion that dallas will win against the tanking timberwolves. But sure, let's be pedantic and consider that scenario.
