Point isn't whether or not you like a given candidate or party, point is that people have the right to vote and to have votes counted. I mean, that's pretty fucking basic. Except to Republicans.

Agree..however, its was white democrats in the south that went to war over slavery. To this day there are many southern dem's that continue to be racist. Grant wanted to assist and help Native Americans too, however because the economy was in the tank he coveted the gold in the dakotas as a way to help the economy. Politicians hang around long enough they usually sell out one way or the other.

There is no legitimate reasoning or argument for doing that other than to try and stop people from voting.

What do you think the odds are a person identified as Independent could win? That seems almost improbable in this system. My wife and I were in Ocean County yesterday and we observed a Trump 2024 flag positioned on a flag pole under the stars and stripes. sad.......

Right now the odds aren’t good. That needs to change somehow.

Florida now considering a bill making it a felony to give snacks and water to people waiting to vote. Texas already has the most restrictive voting laws and lowest turnout in the country, but wants to make it even harder to vote.

I agree.....but then, over the past several months we’ve seen very clearly how well decades of Texan “independent” and “intelligent” thinking have served the population of Texas. Texas is living proof that you can’t fix stupid.....though Georgia, Florida, Arizona, et al have apparently decided to see if they can race Texas to the bottom......looks like it will be a tie, all the way around........

They're referring to people (Democrats) who vote more times than the legal 1vote that Republicans cast.

Doesn't happen. Republicans do this as often as democrats and nobody does it enough to change the outcomes of any major election.

Soft bigotry of low expectations. You white knights thinking blacks are too stupid to get ids? That's just a form of racist white supremacy masquerading as virtue.

Look at IDs. North Carolina prohibits student ID, Medicare ID, state employee ID but allows gun permits. Alabama passed law requiring DMV issued ID, then closed and reduced hours of DMV offices in cities and majority Black neighborhoods, some are only open two hours a week.

Not just ID. Closed polling places in urban and Black communities. Reduced early voting, eliminate Sunday voting, make it almost impossible to cast absentee ballots, guaranteeing long lines. Closing polling places earlier on election day. Eliminating drop boxes. Making it illegal to drop off another person's ballot. Making it impossible to carry out voter registration drives. Purging hundreds of thousands of voters without notifying them, in Georgia before last governor race, two thirds of purged voters were Black or Latinx. Arizona and Georgia are considering bills to prevent secretary of state from defending election in court but only current office holder. Because Arizona Democratic and Georgia Republican both said Biden won their stated. And now literally allowing elections to be overturned.

The only example in the last election of someone voting twice was a republican who voted himself and then for his dead mother.

Don't forget the man charged with murdering his wife, then casting her ballot for Trump. He argued he knew she would vote for Trump so he was carrying out her wishes. Of course he could have just not murdered her.

This is a Trumper we're talking about here. He probably killed her because she wanted to vote for somebody other than Trump.
