This franchise owes Dame everything to give him a second star for the rest of his prime

Dame has maybe 2 or 3 years left of his prime? This franchise needs to give everything in order to give him a legitimate second star. Sell anything and everything.

    CJ
    Nurk
    Nas
    Ant
    RoCo
    Terry
    Neil
    DEEP into the tax
Draft picks for the next decade

You can fill the roster with end of bench guys. Dame needs a second star. He's never had one since LaMarcus left and there's no hope for anyone on this team to turn into that. They OWE this to him. His loyalty is his biggest strength but also his biggest weakness.

I'm glad Jody Allen was at the game, and it may be a blessing in disguise that we lost. Time and time again Dame's heroics save jobs. Terry, Neil, CJ etc. Dame gave everything he could this game and it wasn't enough. It's time to actually give him some help, and not just half-ass it.

Sell the farm for Brad Beal. It raises some of the same issues as Dame/CJ, but Brad is 3x the player CJ is, and respects the hell out of Dame. He may even extend his contract with Dame. It's actually do-able if you give them control of the franchise for the next decade.

    CJ to NYK

    Beal to PDX

NYK 1st + some young guys + Ant + whatever else they want on our roster + however many picks/swaps they want for Brad Beal. Wizards get picks + cap + young guys.

Also get a new coach who can utilize both.

The organization has let him down. Period. A performance like tonight is magical and the rest of the team just took a huge steaming shit on it. All of em. A losing performance in the end is a kick in the balls. Fuck the whole organization. What more can a single player do?

Not to mention it's against a depleted team. We shouldn't even have needed this performance.

JODY, please see how FAR we are from actual title contention.

Dame makes this team and the coaches look so much better than they are.

The rest of the league is saying “free dame” right now because of how bad our team looked.

Been saying trade CJ for nearly 4 years now, are others finally ready to hop on that train?

Do you actually think that you’re the only one on that train? The problem is with the engineer not the passengers.

His game will age nicely —- 5+ seasons IMO

Get him Sabonis and a defensive oriented wing

Seriously, who are some possible legit stars that are available?

    Beal probably is.

Maybe PG if the Clippers lose?

    LaVine maybe?

Sabonis was mentioned but his best position is center and he's a defensive liability. In the playoffs he will get exposed.

    Siakam maybe?

Honestly feel like Beal is the only one with a chance.

Also, I'm SURE we could have matched the Nets deal considering the Rockets were dumb and wanted an actual PLAYER in the deal along with the picks and swaps. They took fucking Oladipo for fucks sake. CJ for sure has more value than that! Also our picks are likely better than Brooklyn's with the big 3.

Houston already robbed us of our picks for Covington. But yeah, I get what you are saying. Who knows what went on behind the scenes but Olshey not gambling on Leonard a few years ago as well as Harden just shows how in love he is with CJ.

Our best game was when Dame shot 1-10FGs. His teammates can’t be that bad.

The ship sailed. CJ is not a young prospect anymore. He's a massively overpaid tweener who is now in the back half of his career. Who is going to give you anything valuable for him?

Bad enough to lose 3 games to an injured Nuggets team. Are the Nuggets still a good team without Murray and others? Of course, but if this team has aspirations to be a contender and make a deep playoff run, this shouldn't have been so tough of a series. Reason it has been? Simply because his teammates are that bad.

It actually went through my mind a couple times during the game how olshey should feel like a dick for not doing everything in his power to get another bonafide star along side him.

I wonder how many teams haven't added an all-star to their roster in the last 8 years. I promise you we will have easily had more success than any team on that list.
