The exact article that quote comes from also states his public comments suggests he wants to stay. it also states that he is unlikely to be traded, period, because the business ramifications are much too great. (Sponsorship, corporate deals, fan attendance).
They should know by now if Howard has any interest; if he does they should interview him immediately.
One thing I would like them to ask every candidate: What would you say to Nurk after hearing him state he wants to be utilized more? And second, what would you do to make Nurk a better player? The answers to those two questions could tell a lot about what kind of communicator a guy is and the second question would 1. tell a lot about how he prepared for the interview (watched a lot of Blazer tape?) and what kind of creativity does he have; what resources would he employ?
i dont understand how you announce favorites before even interviewing a single candidate. my guess is dame just said something off the cuff when asked about kidd/billups and haynes ran with it and made an article about it.
sounds like Portland hasn't even contacted any candidate. That's likely true considering the state of the playoffs. Obviously, they are probably busy contacting agents, at least they should be. As long as they have confidence the agents won't immediately leak. I'm actually a little encouraged that Portland at least has the appearance of starting a process of due diligence. There isn't any real reason to hurry at this stage all the chatter about candidates is media speculation
considering how tight lipped olshey usually is, this is a bit out of ordinary. must be agent driven so a grain of salt needed.
neither person that reported it actually mentioned Billups by name, so idk why it would be agent driven.
Man I never thought we’d be back in a LMA situation with Dame, but it kinda feels that way. Does he not realize that the team was directly affected by him? Keeping Stotts, keeping CJ, etc. this has all been about keeping him happy.
LMAO, man seriously, you don't get sick of being negative and always spinning things negatively do ya? Ya, because teams don't try to their star players happy, especially a loyal superstar loyal to a small market. People like you will always complain regardless the situation.
You mean besides the fact that Lillard is under contract for 4 more years so it's really nothing like the LMA situation.
