New owner yes. Leaving would be a nightmare. Whenever a team gets sold there's always some chance it gets moved, however small it may be.
this was the narrative in 2004. not happening in 2021. When SAC and the Bucks manage to stay in their markets, and the Clips do the same in LA, and new owners come in to markets like Minny/Utah without a peep, why would a stable market like Portland right in the middle of the league in terms of valuations be in any danger whatsoever? unfounded fears.

Not much chance of leaving since the Rose Garden is owned by Vulcan Inc. I'm sure that any sale would include a long term lease commitment. What would Vulcan do with the Rose Garden if the Blazers left town?

Blazers should run a crowd source campaign for the fans to submit questions they think are important to ask the next coach -- even if they never end up asking a single one of the submissions, it would be a great way to understand what is most important to their fanbase. I have no idea, do they do something like this for season ticket holders every year (generic survey or anything)? I would also like if the ultimate interview process includes a portion of Q&A without Olshey in the room -- I am guessing some of the candidates would make better GMs than him and could give them an opportunity to voice their thoughts on "the roster".
