It's interesting that they're saying this is a multiyear deal while not giving a specific amount.

So, should I get rid of my YouTube TV account? The Blazers were the reason for getting it in the first place.

yes, no contract so you can always get back in if/when root gets on there.

also if you have tmobile, they have a $10 off/month for youtube tv.

Wait, what is the media market size now for the blazers? Is it big enough now to draw free agents? Will they get more favorable treatment? Finally part of the big dawgz?

Nope. Nobody seems to realize that we're not a small market anymore. We have grown a ton in the past 15 years. We're not a large market, but we're also not small.

So doesn't this help those with satellite TV subscriptions? I thought that was the main issue.
Now the issue is those who don't have either cable or satellite?

We're a bigger TV market than Pittsburgh now. I find that interesting since they have all the sports except NBA.

ATT can't even provide a basic cell phone connection to most of rural Oregon, so in reality this probably means less coverage rather than more.

It would be interesting to see the breakdown of that. Is it expanded reach in Oregon, or just doubling the number by covering more of Washington and Alaska?

I'd be shocked if there wasnt good streaming options available before the start of next season.

Expanding the reach in Oregon and Washington by adding Direct TV and Dish Network customers.

Nice. If you combine Portland + Seattle, then they are right their with Chicago. That's a pretty big market. It might mean more pull to get Blazers on ESPN and TNT, and that is a loosely might so don't hold any hopes and dreams to that. But hey it could mean more fans now.

It just pisses me off that fucking Vegas has two teams now (and maybe a third) while we're almost twice as high on the list.

The list of corporate sponsors and skybox buyers is probably 20 to 1 in Vegas vs Portland.
