Bums me out we couldn't get rid of stolshey when it was obvious to anyone with an inkling of common sense that it was the best moves after that embarassment.
I just get so angry thinking this is still a possibility. For all I know Neil has no interest in him, but until I hear otherwise, I’m still in depression over this retread
Yes there is Vogel has Lebron and AD. In 10 seasons as head coach, Frank Vogel has won 50 games or more 2 times and made the playoffs 7 times. Kerr has Curry, Klay, Green and KD. Without those guys Kerr won 15 games and 39 games. Luke fucking Walton went 39-4 leading that Warriors team It’s about the roster more than the coach. Now a good coach can make a good team better and vice versa, but it’s about the roster
I wonder if Carlisle and Stotts should wind up swapping positions. The latest Lowe Post went into a lot of detail about what an asshole Luka is. He really seems to bristle under a heavy hand. Stotts strikes me as the kind of coach that everybody likes (even if they don't always play well under.) Meanwhile, Carlisle is really the most proven coach on the market right now aside from MDA. He hasn't done a lot since the Dallas championship. Or has he? Dallas took a very tough Clippers team to 7 games, while we lost to a pathetic Denver squad. Dallas just hasn't had a lot of talent around it since Dirk's prime. I'd be fine with either Carlisle or D'Antoni.
Only thing i can figure is it's something like they like the idea of being in the conversation. Like a school girl wants to be noticed? I absolutely see no reason to want MDA or Carlisle for that matter.
Great defensive coach. Perches it like gospel. Young black assistant. Probably one of the brighter young minds in basketball. Deserves a shot at head coach Love this quote from him “Defense is something you can get right most nights. Nothing is 100 percent perfect, but there’s a lot of excellence involved in defense and you really give yourself a chance to win if you’re focused on that end of the court. What you can take away from teams, the opportunities you can create for yourself offensively mostly comes from the defensive end. Whether you’re causing a team to turn the ball over, cause them to take a shot they’re not looking for, cause a team to throw a bad pass…It’s one of those things where you can really get it right if you work at it. We work our defense through film studies, individual workouts, team workouts. We spend a lot of time focusing on how we want to approach the game. People get caught in changing things from game to game, but I think one of the biggest reasons why we’ve been so successful is the fact that we plan on how we’re going to use our strengths and what’s the best suitable coverage to defend someone from our point of view. From our skill set, from our personnel. It’s fun. I love it. I love seeing that look in people’s faces when they can’t score or get into the paint, their action or get to their source of offense.”
Becky didn't even make second rounds with Boston. Darvin Ham and Chauncey Billups did.... What does that say about these candidates?
literally nothing. these jobs/candidates aren't in a vacuum where one team's evaluation is necessarily the same as another. same as in any other field. that said, my big takeaway is billups interviewing again. Is that because we passed on him, or did he pass on us?
