If Nurk were to be traded, who are we most likely to get?

Marang isn't even a good numbers guy. He keeps arguing that pace of play affects Defensive Rating as if Defensive Rating isn't a Per-100 possessions based stat.

Not to mention he’s one of the biggest Stotts homers out there. For that alone, he loses all credibility IMO.

I'm gonna let you guys in on a secret. Most people who cover sports professionally don't know jack shit. Their knowledge is less than that of a lot of the people on this board. Most of them got where they are because of luck. Being in the right place at the right time. Especially radio guys. Radio guys are a joke. They're paid like a joke too.

The level of burnout, apathy, and disdain for their own jobs is also very high. It really killed my passion for sports honestly. Being around it made me realize that I needed to get out or it would kill my love of sports entirely. It almost succeeded.

If Nurk is a top 5ish center, like some here think, we should have no problem getting a ton of value.

Sure, but the problem is, who wants/needs a center?

I would like a top 5 center. I would think the teams who don't have a top 15 center would be open to an upgrade.

The real question might be: Is Nurk a top 5 center?

he was that in the season when he broke his leg and im sure hes gonna bounce back next season with bigger role

    charlotte
    toronto
    dallas
boston (they have couple of centers, but not a good ones)

clippers, lakers and knicks if they want to upgrade center position

nurk would easily find a new team, question is, would the blazers be happy with the offer

im really intrigued how would nurk look on teams like charlotte (young, up and coming team with lamelo whos already good playmaker, but can become a great one), toronto (cause of their defensive schemes, nurk would show how big of a difference maker he can be in a good defensive scheme) and dallas (rick carlisle in no longer there and he didnt like his centers to play down low and they have great playmaker in luka)

if nurk gets traded, im hoping its one of these teams

we may want to combine Nurk with CJ and go after Turner and Sabonis

or package to two and make a play at Towns

either way, a big man has to come back when trading Nurkic.

Listen, I see two overarching problems with the Blazers; and they both are responsibilities of Olshey:

    1. CJ and Dame will never partner to win a title

    2. Our head coach was a “player’s coach” oooops…I mean a “softy.”

We need to move CJ and one way to get value is to bundle CJ with an expiring contract in Nurkic.

Trade DJJ for a draft pick? Or bundle DJJ with Nurkic - but get rid of Jones.

if CJ can net us Simmons - it’s worth the gamble. And with the leader we have in Dame, Simmons will find his place and his confidence

    get RoCo extended. sign Kanter.

Might Nurkic, Little, and two number 1 picks be able to get us Towns? And CJ get us Simmons?

    Dame / a vet
    Powell / Simons / Elleby
RoCo / Melo / draft a wing - keep Melo as teacher
Simmons / Collins / Vet or Free Agent
    Towns / Kanter / Giles

    an alternative starting lineup:

    Dame / Powell / Simmons / Collins / Towns

    or
    Dame / Simmons / RoCo / Collins / Towns

    or
    Dame / Ant / Simmons / RoCo / Towns

    and for a coach:

you know, I’m leaning toward Becky Hammon! Provided Dame is fully on board with this, it may be the coach we need. You gotta figure she’ll want to impress - create a tough defense - coach! Not be a patsy. And she’s learned from the very best in Pops!

Hope there's another GM who thinks as highly of Nurk as you do!

that can be solved very fast

just hire mike dantoni and nurk is as good as gone (neither dantoni would want him, neither he would want to play for dantoni)

i dont doubt rich paul, hell do whats best for nurk

I'd like to go on record and disagree. Kuzma is a guy making over $10m a year who isn't a starting-level NBA player. He doesn't do anything, offensively or defensively, particularly well. He was a late 1st rounder who started some games for a bad Lakers team his second year in the league and has been living off the hype he generated two years ago ever since.

While I'd be willing to, say, give him Carmelo's minutes, I'm not at all interested in trading Nurk for him.

As does EVERY other agent, or atleast attempt to. That's not Rich Paul exclusive. Who else is he supposed to do what's best for? The Blazers?

thats their job, but some agents are better than the others

as of today, rich paul is probably the most powerful nba agent, if not, one of them for sure
