Probably referring to @WesleyMatthews' post above saying it would need to be CJ and a boatload of picks

They are both 'better' at different things. But Simmons might be a 'better fit' in Portland where Dame is the primary ball handler and Simmons can be the outlet off the trap the Blazers have never had. Also, CJ might be a 'better fit' in Philly where he won't be 2nd guard to one of the league's elite and will be more of the primary ball handler which he has shown to be very good at when Dame is out.

It gives Philly a MUCH better/willing shooter to balance out Embiid and someone who can create for himself if needed in the Playoffs.

I think both guys would help both of their new respective clubs....if it were to happen.

CJ is not a better fit than Dame in PDX in any way PERIOD! Stop that nonsense.

When you include Nas or someone else and picks. Or just see any other trade that seems to get pitched involving McCollum. It always includes sweetener from the Blazers.

Brad Botkin of CBS Sports this morning said Simmons for CJ would be about as good as both teams could do to address each teams specific needs.

"Get it done. This should have been done yesterday."

Makes you wonder what the holdup is. Probably Morey hoping that time passing will make him worth more.

Time may temper some of that for Simmons, as it will for CJ. Simmons had a hystorically poor series in some areas. CJ had a 'bad' series getting 20/6/4.

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

If NeO thinks just a change in coach is going to make this team a contender without significant roster changes, we are in for a couple more years of watching Dame's prime be wasted. I'm a HUGE fan, but don't have much interest in watching that slow, painful decline happen.

makes sense to see him with a better offensive coach.

Aren't we all kind of secretly expecting this? Like, at some point Charlie Brown had to expect that Lucy was going to pull the football, even though she kept convincing him to try... Planning on Neil disappointing us and being pleasantly surprised if that ends up not being the case is probably the way to go...

could be a smokescreen to get Morey's asking price for Simmons down.
