    No you aren't.
You are specifically talking about someone accepting and working with someone who was at one point accused of sexual assault and another that was involved in a domestic with his wife.
I am certain that someone in your own personal circle of friends, work associates, family or even church have had those same issues.

I would be very surprised if this was the case. The media members in question are very influential and would probably turn on Olshey if this proved to be true. If you're going to do that, pick some minor media members to use.

The timing is not good. The reports that he’s antsy and his less than convincing commitment to the team right now. If he feels attacked by the city it might be the final nail in the coffin.

I mentioned this is I think the coaching search thread but looking at the dates of when it was settled Billups was playing in Denver.

Most players have some sort of liability umbrella insurance policy.

That's who would have been handling this.

For a criminal defense, Billups would have hired attorneys, civil the insurance company deals with it.

Billups insurance company could have made an offer to make this go away.

Yes, Billups could have rejected it but then any settlement and all the expenses would be coming out of his pocket, not the insurance company.

Billups would have had to miss games and the salary from those games.

I'm not saying he's innocent or guilty, but sometimes people who are innocent will accept a settlement. This happens in both criminal and civil matters all the time.

Did anyone see the rumor that Stotts is a candidate to be Vogels lead assistant? Please let that happen so I can fully shit on him.

What is 'his story'? I've only seen the accusations. Although I have to say there felt like there were some gaps in that story too

Yeah this is the weird thing. The dude hasn’t caught any flack until now. It sucks that we are the ones who get to eat the bullet after 20 years.

i highly doubt dame didnt know about the rape allegation, but even if he didnt, i highly doubt he didnt know about jason kidd beating his wife and he endorsed him

that tells me dame has no probem with it and i highly doubt players will have issues with billups being named a head coach

some fans will hold a grudge against billups, but they will stop talking about it with time

They will stop talking if the team wins. Lets be clear here. If this team even begins to struggle and has any problems this will just add fuel to the fire. As in "Fire Billups"

If that's not the most Portland thing ever, I'm not sure what is. We can't have good things because we can't be happy when we have them. Better to find the bad in a good situation.

"Say less" means "I get it" or "I understand" essentially. You can infer what you like about what it is he "gets."

People make mistakes, i've made them. But it's what you do after that, that defines who you are. Billups has been a model for how to accomplish goals in a man's life, both professionally, and on the home front. And making Dame out to be some sort of villain in this is absolutely asinine . The agendas brought by some in here are pathetic. I've seen this before, where a good thing is happening, and a person who's unhappy with their own situation takes it upon themselves to pollute it with ugliness. The personal demons people keep inside themselves are often worst than any punishment dealt. Especially in people who've made a mistake, but have lived a clean and purposeful existence after. Let's live in the now, and move forward. Damn!

If Billups raped that woman, it's not a "mistake" and passing it off as "everyone makes mistakes" is morally repugnant.

If he didn't rape her or sexually assault her in any way, then there's nothing to even call a mistake unless you mean that, while innocent, he made mistakes that make him look more guilty.
