I think it’s indicative of how this country is. We talk about it wanting to rehabilitate criminals and be more like some European countries but we don’t really forgive criminals. We just like the idea of rehabilitation.

It is surreal when jerk-offs like this guy state with absolute certainty something they cannot possibly know anything about. Guy needs to check his self then fuck himself.

    Are you kidding with me?

Maybe having daughters skews my view, I don't know. Try this out: go to your daughter or wife or mother and explain the situation--the allegations, the denial, the settlement, etc--and say what all of you are saying in here to them. Tell them at worst he raped a 22 year old woman and at best he ran a train on her. Then tell them you are happy the Blazers hired him.

One of those sound like a choice. Or are women absolved of personal responsibility?

Again, as I have stated before, I do not have enough information in this case to personally feel like I can say he's guiltly or being falsely accused. I'm in the middle.

In the eyes of the law, no charges were made after the police were notified. I don't believe that proves him innocent either.

Toronto, Denver, Orlando, Minnesota, Detroit, New York, LA, ESPN, and the Blazers could be totally blind to what is obvious to people here, Canzano, and Blazers edge.

I don't know... Since I don't know, I'm not going to say Billups deserves to be burned at the stake, a lifetime ban from obtaining a coaching position, or that we should all feel sorry for him for being falsely accused. I don't know.

If/when there is evidence that comes to light that proves either extreme to be highly likely, I will change my stance.

It’s taken this long for lynch mobs to become socially acceptable. Again.

Yeah and most importantly: what was she wearing?

Can I say objectively that you suck or is that against the forum rules?

I addressed your absurdity with absurdity. Yes, when you choose to take on a few dudes, it is your choice, of course. As for personal responsibility, I'm unsure what exactly you are implying or saying, but blaming victims is weird and telling.

If you shop at Walmart, or ANY STORE, OR Pay Taxes, it is an absolute statistical certainty that everyone here, including me, is actively supporting rapists and murderers.

We may not want to fully support people who we know are rapists or murderers, so it becomes a matter of who is the arbiter? We have a legal system, and they are the default arbiter. Of course, they could get it wrong, and it is sensible to protest things you think the legal system got wrong.

However, for me, it is very unclear that the legal system got it wrong.

This feels more like Canzano trying to stir shit, and the fact that there is so much outrage only increases my certainty that the Blazers, a small market team from an apparent SJW backwater, will never win a championship.

blaming victims? How do you know for a fact who the victim even is? (This is a rhetorical question, I don’t need a response)

if an adult wants to get railed by multiple people, I don’t give a fuck. Not my business, and I’m certainly not going to pass any judgements on a persons character over it.

It is my belief that you made your comment to a black man. And if so, regardless of your own color (or his…..or mine) I found it offensive. Simple as that. Yeah, I know what happens when we assume………but then this whole site (and this thread in particular) is one big assumption. So you know where that leaves every one of us. Does that work for you?

Being in that room, in that situation, was a mistake. I'm not in a position to judge what did or did not happen after that.
