    He had no reason to otherwise. Regardless of who Neil hires, he's fired next year if the Blazers don't make a huge run, so he's incentivized to pick the coach he thinks will actually contribute most to winning. Good for him.

    I'm sure he's betting that winning cures all. I would tend to agree with that, but we'll see with this city....

    I don’t think he will. He isn’t stupid, no reason to provoke it further. Make the statement, be clear they found nothing in their investigations, answer the dumb questions if they come, and move on.
