We could have gotten it if we switched "Terms not disclosed" with "5 year contract". And it would have been one or the other.

 

I don't believe for a second that anything in this press conference wasn't carefully planned because of how bad the PR has been from this whole thing.

Dame isn't there for a reason.

CJ didn't just show up. I'm 100% sure the team carefully decided who to put up there with Billups. CJ is the most well-spoken person on the team. RoCo is an extremely likeable guy as well. But I think it's questionable to bring out CJ when he should be on the trading block. There should only be players up there that have a clear future with the team, or no players at all.

 

You just might be reading too much into it. If Dame was there, everyone would want to hear from him istead of the GM and new coach.

Welcome Chauncey. Very impressed, didn't skirt the issues. Neil too. To some of those reporters who's questions were already addressed. Get over yourself.

 

Nurk is gonna be unleashed under Billups. That’s my biggest takeaway. They addressed the incident more than I thought they would. Like I said, people already have their minds made up, they said they did an internal and external investigation. Don’t believe them? Don’t watch. Simple.

I legitimately don’t think they could have handled that better.

Neil sounded almost sincere talking about the incident

Chauncey came off really good too about that incident

As for on the court, Chauncey came off as someone who can do the damn job

I didn't care for that lady cutting off Quick's question-- think that coulda helped Chauncey more than it hurt him

 

Nice move by the blazers to have their black, female director of diversity moderate, and to have HER, not Neil, slap Jason Quick down with the "asked and answered", and immediately move on.

 

He best get in shape, stay in shape, and work on his game, especially offensively in the low post. Be the Beast again.
