I lived in St. Louis and in the summer temperatures were typically above 100, 105 was not uncommon at all. Old people died, obviously not me because here I am typing furiously. In Vietnam in the summer temperatures were worse than St. Louis in the summer but I was 20 years old and kind of enjoyed it.
I've been in hot hot Vietnam , Atlanta and St. Louis and I found it no worse than summer in Phoenix or Death Valley and now Portland, Oregon.
Being in Nam at your age now is not like being there when your were 20 Lanny....I spent 20 years in the sub tropics....it will eventually chew you up and spit you out
