And you'd be wrong in either case. Only Kawhi Leonard is close to Ben. Go to any sports forum of an East coast team and ask who is the best perimeter defender. It will be the guy with back to back NBA All-Defense first-team awards who was SECOND PLACE AFTER RUDY GOBERT THIS FREAKING YEAR, who is named Ben Simmons. You're straight-up wrong about this brother. I won't bother anymore any knowledgable fan knows this indisputable fact that Ben Simmons is All-Planet perimeter defender and easily better than Smart (I do like Jrue to be fair). I will just post these facts for everyone else to read. I hear you aren't the type to change your mind under any circumstance.

It's a fucking opinion, stop trying to pass off your opinion as automatic fact. I don't give a fuck what Joe Shmoe on the East Coast says. I don't go to BlazersEdge for a reason, it's insufferable. Don't bring that shit here.

Maybe if Jrue Holiday was about 5 inches taller and 25lbs heavier. Unfortunately “perimeter defender” includes defending people like Durant, LeBron, Giannis to a certain extent, Doncic, Kawhi, Tatum, PG, etc.

Otherwise he would have my vote.

Giannis and Kawhi are two others I'd put over Ben. Ben gets blown by a bit too much for my liking. Luckily he has the 2nd best rim protector in the league to help cover for him whenever that happens. I value guys that can stay in front more if we're talking about defending the perimeter specifically (a difference conversation than overall defense, DPOY, etc.) If people think he's the best, that's fine too.
