Music: Your flavor of the month?

A while back I was planning to buy another "Beatles" guitar aka the Gretsch duo jet in cadillac green....went to pick it up today and changed my mind....the nobs were loose and on a new guitar that's not a good thing....I instead bought a John Lennon epiphone casino in worn black and Paul McCartney once said the Epi Casino was his desert island guitar...now I know why! What a fine instrument and it's range of tones blows me away...there's nothing you couldn't play on this guitar....today I celebrate another dream "Beatles" guitar that's added to my collection.first guitar I've owned with P90 pickups..got a steal on it. Happy Days! I'll be playing this guitar as much as I play my strat or Martin now....it's a worn finish...the picture looks almost glossy but you can feel and see the wood grain through the finish...no shiny coating at all....feels broken in brand new!

I've been watching these folks alot over the last couple years on youtube....just yesterday saw them do In memory of Elizabeth Reed with Marcus King.....Marcus King and Derrick Trucks are as good a guitar duo as you'll ever hear play Allman brothers songs...great band

 

I have three of her albums that I love....I think her first 3....she does great Dionne Warwick covers

 

When this song was popular (early-80's), for some reason, it reminded me of Magic Johnson.
